Valley Academy’s Board of Directors is currently seeking applicants to fill an open position that is a 3-year term. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the Board and contribute to Valley's success! We are seeking an individual that wants to have a voice in education and is committed to having the children’s best interests at heart. Applicants must be willing to participate in meetings, learn new skills, share opinions, and listen to other’s opinions. Prior board experience is not required, as we provide training. However, experience in any of the following areas of expertise is an advantage: human resources, marketing, law, technology, business leadership, education, or finance.

Board membership requires attendance at monthly meetings and leadership of at least one board committee. As a board member, one must stay informed of school and board issues by reading the school’s charter and other documents found on our website. Board members are volunteers and receive no compensation for service. Additionally, board members must pass a background check. Board members may not serve concurrently on the Board and work as an employee of the school.
